Wovenish started as a pandemic passion project, where I experimented with my passion for fibre arts and bold colours. Weaving now holds a very special place in my heart, which I hope to share with you through this kit!

ThEsE VIDEOS will walk you through making your first weaving step by step and include additional techniques for your next project! I hope you enjoy creating your first piece as much as I did, and that you continue your very own weaving journey!

wARPING YOUR LOOM
ThE FIRST STEP OF STARTING YOUR PROJECT IS BY WARPING YOUR LOOM. THIS THIN COTTON FIBER IS THE BACKBONE OF YOUR WEAVING.

TWIST + PLAIN WEAVE
This first part of starting off demonstrates of to create a strong base for your design.

3. Adding Fringe

In this video you will learn how to create a rya knot and rya loop fringe.

In this video you will learn how to create a cloud-like piece by doing a mix of soumak and plain weave.

4. Weave your design

In this video you will learn how to tidy up the back of your piece, take it off the loom, and install the dowel such that it is ready to display!
